We are one week out, and rehearsals are going very well. A lot of hard work, great talents coming together to make something new in the universe.
I know what you are thinking. This is a completely unknown play, never before seen. How good can it be?
I'm biased, so take it for what it is worth, but it is fantastic. The actors, the costumes, the music, choreography, sound effects and lighting combine to make an experience that you will not get in a movie theater. It is MUCH more personal, immediate and unsettling. We're not using cheap jump scares; we are going to get inside your head and make you doubt what you see, and wonder what you can believe.
This play is also not what you are used to seeing in theater. We are blurring a lot of the rules for this one, and working with the medium to craft this experience in new ways. I am certain that this show will challenge everyone who enters with a puzzle; a puzzle of existential proportions that has no clear solution. I hope that it will engage your mind in ways you do not anticipate, and produce in the audience an appreciation for all of life. That's a big claim, but I really think that this is the play you will remember seeing for the rest of your life, and you'll want to see it again.
If you hate it, talk to me after the show, and I will happily refund your money. I just want people to see this. I'm charging admission because I've paid for this whole production out of my own pocket. Blood, sweat and tears are the real currency of this work. Give us a chance to entertain you, and challenge you. You won't regret it.
